As expected last night was very quite . After a big celebration on Australia Day followed by working the next day, many people wanted a quite night at home.
Thursday 26 Jan 2006
Australia Day. Maybe up to 400,000 people celebrated today at the river bank watching the annual A$2M fireworks. Taxpayer monies burned into smokes in 30 minutes. Every year it promised to be bigger than the previous, but I see no different. Fireworks are all the same. I saw lots of police present on the road last night, which was a good sign but it is also well known that on Australia Day it has the most housebreakings by busy thieves while home owners are enjoying watching their monies going up in smokes. Overall taxi business was good. Airports were busy too.
Wednesday 25 Jan 2006
Started off very busy being the eve of Austarlia Day. Many people went out to pubs and night clubs. Both Airports were busy. Price of LPG: 61.9cents per litre, jumped 5 cents over night
Tuesday 24 Jan 2006
Last night was raining in the middle of summer. It was also very humid inside the car so I had the aircondition on. Fares were running average. International Airport was quiet. Domestic was busy.
